जीत-हार के कयासों में उलझे प्रत्याशी व समर्थक

अररिया। विधानसभा चुनाव संपन्न होते ही सभी दलों के प्रत्याशी एवं समर्थक जीत हार के कयासों में उलझ गये हैं। सभी प्रत्याशी अपने-अपने बूथ एजेंटों, प्रचारकों एवं समर्थकों को लेकर मतदान का जोड़-घटाव के बाद अपनी-अपनी झोली में जीत का लड्डू डालने में लगे हैं। विजयी पताका किसका लहरेगा यह तो 24 नवम्बर की संध्या तक स्पष्ट हो जायेगा। जात और जमात के गुणा भाग में कई निर्दलीय प्रत्याशी भी ताल ठोक कर अपनी जीत सुनिश्चित मान रहे हैं। कई स्वतंत्र प्रत्याशी ऐसे भी है जो किसी भी दल को सीधी टक्कर होने की बात कहते चल रहे हैं। हालांकि, छह विधानसभा क्षेत्रों में एक मात्र जोकीहाट के कौसर जिया के प्रदर्शन से सीधी टकराव की बात उभर कर सामने आ रही है। रूझानों पर यकीन करें तो किसी भी स्वतंत्र प्रत्याशी को मतदाता ने तरजीह नहीं दी है। पांच विधान सभा क्षेत्रों में तो राजग गठबंधन एवं लोजपा-राजद के बीच ही सीधी टकराव के आसार बन गए हैं। यही कारण है कि हार जीत का अटकलें दलीय प्रत्याशियों के यहां ज्यादा ही लगाए जा रहे हैं। दलों के अलग-अलग समर्थकों की झोली विभिन्न चौक-चौराहों एवं बैठकों में हार जीत का फैसला करते नजर आ रहे हैं। कुछ दल ऐसे भी है जो अपने प्रत्याशी को जीत का सेहरा बांध दिया है तो कई प्रत्याशी बूथ दर बूथ पर हुए मतदान में अपनी-अपनी जात एवं समर्थकों का जोड़ घटाव करने में जुटे हैं।

मतदान कर्मी ने दर्ज करायी मारपीट की प्राथमिकी

अररिया। प्रखंड क्षेत्र के सोनामनी गोदाम थाना में उत्क्रमित मध्य विद्यालय बटराहा बूथ नंबर 33 पर कार्यरत तृतीय मतदान कर्मी दिनेश मंडल ने 6-7 अज्ञात व्यक्तियों के विरुद्ध धक्का-मुक्की एवं मारपीट करने का आरोप लगाते हुए कांड संख्या 33/10 दर्ज किया है। रानीगंज थाना क्षेत्र के मौजहा निवासी दिनेश मंडल ने अपने लिखित आवेदन में लिखा है कि मतदान के क्रम में लगी भीड़ में छह-सात व्यक्तियों ने उनके साथ धक्का-मुक्की किया। उन्होंने पहचानने से इंकार किया। इधर, थानाध्यक्ष गजेन्द्र प्रसाद सिंह ने शुक्रवार को बताया कि मामले की छानबीन की जा रही है।

मतों का गणित सुलझाने में उलझे उम्मीदवार

लटक ा-झटका झेल रहे आम लोगों ने अब राहत की सांस ली है। चुनाव मैदान में अपने षोड्स कलाओं का प्रदर्शन कर चुके योद्धा भी अपने तीर- तुक्का समेटने लगे हैं। परन्तु परिणाम के लिए लंबी प्रतीक्षा ने उनकी बेचैनी बढ़ा दी है। प्रत्येक की नजरें स्ट्रांग रूम पर जा टिकी है, जहां जिले के अस्सी दिग्गजों के भाग्य का पिटारा लाक है। पूरे एक माह दो दिन बाद यानि 24 नवंबर को यह पिटारा खुलेगा और तभी यह पता चल पायेगा कि जिले के अररिया, जोकीहाट, सिकटी, फारबिसगंज, नरपतगंज और रानीगंज का ताज किन छह विजेता के सिर पर सजेगा। फिलहाल जीत-हार के समीकरण को ले यहां चर्चाओं का माहौल गरम है।

अररिया विधानसभा क्षेत्र में चुनाव के बाद हो रही चर्चाओं पर अगर गौर करें तो यहां चौदह में से तीन उम्मीदवारों के बीच कड़े संघर्ष की चर्चा हर जुबां पर है। लोजपा के जाकिर अनवर, भाजपा के नारायण झा और कांग्रेस के मोइदुर्रहमान फिलहाल चर्चा की केन्द्र में हैं। जीत का सेहरा इन्हीं तीनों में से किसी एक के सिर बंधने वाला है। लेकिन यह भी तय माना जा रहा है कि क्षेत्र के कुछ दिग्गज निर्दलियों द्वारा लाए गए मतों की संख्या ही ताज का दावेदार तय करेंगे। निर्दलीय अजय कुमार झा, हैदर यासीन को भी अच्छे मत आने के आसार हैं।

जोकीहाट विस क्षेत्र की बात करें तो वहां मतदाताओं का नया रूझान सामने आ रहा है। जदयु के सरफराज आलम और राजद के अरुण यादव के बीच होने वाली सीधी टक्कर को निर्दलीय कौसर जिया ने त्रिकोणात्मक बना दिया है। मतदान के दिन कौसर जिया को मिले मतदाताओं का अपार समर्थन से राजनीतिक प्रेक्षकों के होश उड़ गए हैं। कौसर जिया को मतदाताओं के एक बड़े वर्ग का वोट जाने की चर्चा यहां हर जुबां पर है। वैसे निर्दलीय रंजीत यादव एवं मुर्शीद आलम को भी अच्छे मत मिलने की उम्मीद जतायी जा रही है। ऐसे में यहां भी निर्दलियों को मिले मत का प्रतिशत ही विजेता के भाग्य का फैसला करेगा।

सिकटी विस क्षेत्र में भाजपा-लोजपा-कांग्रेस का त्रिकोण मतदान के दिन तक बरकरार रहा, लेकिन निर्दलीय यहां भी जीत हार में अहम भूमिका निभाने वाले हैं। भाजपा के आनन्दी यादव, लोजपा के विजय कुमार मंडल और कांग्रेस के शगुफ्ता अजीम में कौन विजेता होगा इसका निर्णय निर्दलीय निवर्तमान विधायक मुरलीधर मंडल, भाई अजीम और महेन्द्र मंडल को मिले मत के आधार पर होने वाला है। यहां भी ताज की कुंजी निर्दलियों के पास ही है।

फारबिसगंज में सीधी टक्कर लोजपा के मायानन्द ठाकुर व भाजपा के पद्म पराग वेणु के बीच है। दोनों को परंपरागत वोट बैंक का साथ मिलने की चर्चा है। हालांकि कांग्रेस के प्रकाश चौधरी और बसपा के कफिल अहमद भी कुछ वोट पाने में सफल हुए हैं लेकिन ये संघर्ष को तिकोना नहीं बना पाए। अब भाजपा एवं लोजपा के प्रत्याशी में से कौन एक-दूसरे के वोट बैंक में सेंध लगाने में सफल हुए हैं। जीत का आधार यही बनेगा। ऐसे दोनों प्रत्याशियों के बीच कांटे की टक्कर है।

नरपतगंज विस क्षेत्र में भी राजद और भाजपा के बीच ही सीधी टक्कर बतायी जा रही है। राजनीतिक प्रेक्षकों के अनुसार अंत में कांग्रेस प्रत्याशी संघर्ष को तिकोना बनाने में असफल रहे। यहां राजद से अनिल कुमार यादव, भाजपा से देवयंती यादव प्रत्याशी हैं। यहां राजद एवं भाजपा को अपने-अपने वोट बैंक का पूरा समर्थन मिला है। इसलिए यहां कांटे का संघर्ष है। जीत हार का फैसला काफी कम होने की उम्मीद है।

यही स्थिति रानीगंज की भी है। रानीगंज में राजग की शांति देवी एवं भाजपा के परमानन्द ऋषिदेव के बीच क्लोज फाइट है। हालांकि कांग्रेस के उम्मीदवार हरि वैश्यंत्री अंत तक संघर्ष को त्रिकोणीय रूप देने के लिए प्रयासरत रहे तथा अपनी दमदार उपस्थिति दर्ज करायी है। उन्हें भी अच्छे मत आने की उम्मीद है। यहां भी जीत हार का अंतर काफी कम रहने के आसार हैं।

चुनाव का परिणाम क्या होगा यह तो 24 नवंबर को पता चलेगा। फिलहाल प्रत्याशी ईवीएम में बंद मतों का गणित सुलझाने में व्यस्त हैं।

फसल चराने को ले हुई मारपीट में एक महिला की मौत

अररिया। सिमराहा ओपी क्षेत्र अंतर्गत घोड़ाघाट गांव में शुक्रवार को खेत में लगी फसल बकरी द्वार चर जाने के सवाल पर हुए विवाद के दौरान करीब 65 वर्षीय एक महिला की मौत हो गयी। मृतका हाजरा खातून के पति सरफराज ने ग्रामीणों पर मारपीट कर हत्या करने का आरोप लगाया है। घटना की सूचना मिलने पर एसडीपीओ एसके झा एवं सिमराहा ओपी अध्यक्ष नवीन कुमार घटनास्थल पर पहुंचकर मामले की छानबीन शुरू कर दी। बताया जाता है कि हाजरा खातून की बकरी एक खेत में चर रही थी। जिसको लेकर स्थानीय निवासी मंगल प्रसाद झा के साथ विवाद हुआ था। इसके बाद बुजुर्ग महिला की मौत की खबर आयी। हालांकि मौत के कारणों की स्पष्ट जानकारी देने में पुलिस ने असमर्थता जतायी है। लेकिन मृतका के पति ने मारपीट कर हत्या कर दिये जाने का आरोप लगाया है। इधर, मृतका के शव को पुलिस ने पोस्टमार्टम के लिए अररिया भेज दिया है।

सिकटी:चुनावी रंजिश को ले दो गुटों में मारपीट, तनाव

अररिया। मतदान के बाद चुनावी रंजिश को ले मारपीट की घटनाएं होने लगी है। ऐसी ही मारपीट की एक घटना सिकटी में घटित हुई है।

प्रखंड के पड़रिया गांव में मतदान के उपरांत कांग्रेस समर्थक एक महिला के साथ स्थानीय मुखिया द्वारा मारपीट किये जाने की प्राथमिकी सिकटी थाना में शुक्रवार को दर्ज कराया गया है। इस मामले में पड़रिया पंचायत के मुखिया पति समेत चार को नामजद अभियुक्त बनाया गया। वहीं मारपीट की शिकायत लेकर थाना पहुंचे मुखिया मुर्शीद को पुलिस ने गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया जिसके बाद मुखिया समर्थकों ने कांग्रेस प्रत्याशी के रिश्तेदार की बाजार में पिटाई कर दी। उसके बाद बाजार में तनाव उत्पन्न हो गया। बाद में सिकटी एवं कुर्साकाटा थाना की पुलिस मौके पर पहुंच कर मामले को शांत कराया।

रानीकट्टा गांव की बीबी रहमेतुन पूर्व जिप अध्यक्ष पप्पू अजीम के भाई तारिक अजीम के साथ शुक्रवार को थाने पहुंची और प्राथमिकी दर्ज करने को आवेदन दी जिसमें कहा गया था कि मतदान के दिन उन्हें कालू चौक पर मुखिया पति एवं उनके समर्थकों द्वारा मारपीट किया। तारिक अजीम ने थानाध्यक्ष से कार्रवाई का अनुरोध किया। इसी बीच मुखिया पति मुर्शीद भी शिकायत लेकर थाने पहुंच गये। इसी बीच पुलिस ने मुखिया पति खुर्शिद आलम को गिरफ्तार कर लिया। उधर,मुखिया के गिरफ्तारी की खबर सुनते ही उनके समर्थक हजारों की संख्या में सिकटी बाजार में जमा हो गये तथा मुखिया पति की गिरफ्तारी का विरोध करने लगे। तभी बाजार में तारिक अजीम को देखते ही मुखिया समर्थक उनके साथ उलझ गये और मारपीट कर दी। जिससे वहां तनाव की स्थिति उत्पन्न हो गई। तब वरीय अधिकारियों के निर्देश पर सिकटी थानाध्यक्ष एवं कुर्साकाटा थानाध्यक्ष सदल बल वहां पहुंच कर मामले को शांत किया तथा तारिक अजीम को सुरक्षा घेरा में ले लिया। बाद में भीड़ को नियंत्रित करने के लिए एसएसबी जवानों को भी बुलाया गया। समाचार लिखे जाने तक तारिक अजीम सिकटी के प्राइवेट स्कूल में पुलिस की सुरक्षा व्यवस्था में थे। तारिक अजीम ने इस घटना के बारे में बताया कि यह मुखिया पति के इशारे पर पड़रिया के लोगों ने उनके साथ मारपीट की है। इस घटना के लिए उन्होंने पुलिस पर निष्क्रियता का आरोप लगाया।

ईवीएम पहुंचा वज्रगृह, सुरक्षा के लिए अ‌र्द्धसैनिक बल तैनात

अररिया। प्रथम चरण के मतदान की समाप्ति के बाद ईवीएम को कड़ी सुरक्षा के बीच बाजार समिति प्रांगण स्थित पुलिस लाईन में कैद कर रखा गया है। वज्रगृह की सुरक्षा में अ‌र्द्धसैनिक बलों को तैनात किया गया है। वज्रगृह को चारो ओर से घेराबंदी कर जगह सुरक्षित कर दिया गया है। वज्रगृह के आसपास वाले क्षेत्र में निषेधाज्ञा लगा दी गयी है। बलों की सतर्कता इतनी है कि आसपास में परिंदा भी पर नहीं मार सकेंगे। बलों को दिशा निर्देश देने के लिए एक अधिकारी को प्रतिनियुक्त किया गया है जो समय-समय पर वज्रगृह की देखभाल के साथ-साथ क्षेत्र का निरीक्षण कर रहे हैं।

24 नवम्बर को वज्रगृह का पट खुलने के साथ ही प्रत्याशियों के भाग्य का पिटारा खुलेगा। फिलहाल सबकी निगाहें वज्रगृह पर टिकी हैं।

Bihar: The month-long assembly elections get underway in Bihar on Thursday, with 47 out of the 243 seats going to the polls in the first of the six phases amid elaborate security arrangements. 

The first phase of polling will be spread across eight districts of Madhubani, Supaul, Araria, Kishanganj, Purnea, Katihar, Madhepura and Saharsa. Over one crore seven lakh voters will decide the electoral fortune of 631 candidates, including 52 women. 

Riding on the development plank, the ruling NDA, led by chief minister Nitish Kumar , seems comfortably placed to take on rival RJD and Congress, which is making a determined bid to re-establish its political credibility in a state where it has been marginalised. 

After having broken free from RJD, Congress this time will be contesting all 243 seats, something which they could not do in the recent past due to alliance compulsions. 

Out of the 47 seats in the first phase, the Kosi region will account for 13 while the adjoining Seemanchal — the districts bordering Nepal — boasts of 24 seats. The rest are in Madhubani. 
In the November 2005 assembly elections, NDA had walked away with all seats in the Kosi belt causing a huge loss of face for RJD. 

RJD, which has stitched an alliance with LJP this time, is, however, hoping for an improved outing in the Kosi region which traditionally has remained a Yadav bastion. RJD supremo Lalu Prasad may be hoping that the famed Muslim-Yadav combo voting for his party will work to the political advantage of RJD-LJP in Kosi and Seemanchal which boasts of constituencies dominated by the minority population. 

Congress, on its part, has done the groundwork this time, hoping to make the electoral battle a triangular contest. It could as well give a run for money to rivals in a number of the seats. Congress general secretary and youth icon Rahul Gandhi even campaigned in the first phase to solicit support of the electorate. Even Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh addressed election rallies in Seemanchal to woo minorities who admittedly have shed their political abhorrence for the party. 

Among prominent candidates whose fate will be decided in the first phase are Bijendra Prasad Yadav, Narendra Narain Yadav, Renu Kumari Kushwaha (all ministers), state Congress president Mehboob Ali Quaiser, Ranjita Ranjan, Congress nominee and wife of incarcerated Pappu Yadav and Lovely Anand, wife of Anand Mohan, who, too is in jail. 

Addressing a joint press conference on the eve of the poll, director-general of police Neelmani and state chief electoral officer Sudhir Rakesh said central paramilitary forces have been deployed in all booths. The areas bordering Nepal have been sealed.

Battle for Bihar: Phase 1 of polling begins

Bihar: The first phase of Bihar assembly elections began on Thursday in 47 constituencies across the Kosi-Seemanchal and Mithilanchal belts. The fate of 631 candidates is to be decided in the first phase. These include the wives of two dons, Anand Mohan and Pappu Yadav, behind bars, convicted in separate murder cases. Ranjit Ranjan, wife of former MP Pappu, will take on agriculture minister Renu Kushwaha from Bihariganj while Lovely Anand, wife of another former MP Mohan, will fight against revenue and land reforms minister Narendra Narayan Yadav at Alamnagar. While the ministers belong to JD-U, the two women are Congress candidates. 

The eight districts going to the polls are Kishanganj, Araria, Purnia, Madhepura, Saharsa, Katihar, Supaul and Mithilanchal, IANS said. 

So far, political bigwigs like UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi , PM Manmohan Singh, AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi, BJP leader LK Advani, BJP president Nitin Gadkari, and his predecessors M Venkaiah Naidu and Rajnath Singh, as well as UP chief minister Mayawati have campaigned in the state.
